It turns out my niece had the regional trans swimmer as computer science teacher. I think we might have let slip too much.
But that was a reaction to her apparently having told the class she was a swimmer and that she had googled the entire class to see if there were swimmers in it. Which struck me as a bit bizarre.
Niece did not like her anyway, and had already suggested to her friend it might have been a man.
It was quite the controversy some years ago when this swimmer swam as a man in May and as a woman in September. For three years she was equally fast or faster as a girl, winning competitions that she had never even qualified for before, cheering ostentatiously when she beat teenage girls with a twenty-something male body.
I came 3rd once when she was 2nd, bit that is obviously less of a feat, heh heh.
Unfortunately federations are all about inclusivity and not fairness, so this was allowed despite the blatant and obvious physical advantage. They would rather place hundreds of other girls at an advantage than make stricter rules.
